TCNJ Announces New Community College Articulation Agreements

Dr. Karsnitz is pleased to announce that new “Articulation Agreements” have been signed between TCNJ’s Department of Technological Studies and Mercer County Community College and Brookdale Community College. These agreements will assist students who plan to attend either of these community colleges and desire to transfer to the Technology/Pre-Engineering Education major at TCNJ. Students who study under an agreement and earn a 3.5 GPA or better and are successful in an interview with the department are guaranteed an offer of admission. Applications from candidates with a GPA above 3.0 are guaranteed that their application will be reviewed by the department and will receive priority consideration for an offer of admission.
The department believes that these articulation agreements are an important part of meeting the increasing demand for qualified Technology/Pre-Engineering Education teachers. Dr. Karsnitz is interested in establishing additional community college articulation agreements and would like to hear from teachers in the field about which community colleges and programs are being used to serve their students.
Teachers with students who are planning to attend any community college and then transfer to the Technology/Pre-Engineering Education major at TCNJ should also contact Dr. Steve O’Brien  (obriens@tcnj.edu). The Department would like to work closely with any student attending a community college to advise them in course selection and assist them in the transfer application process. Additional information about the TCNJ transfer process can be found at http://admissions.tcnj.edu/resources-for/transferapplicants
Transfer Applications for the Spring Semester are due by November 1st
Transfer Applications for Fall Semester are due by February 15th.
